Open Access

Journal of Communications and Networks (JCN) is an open access journal. As of June 1, 2019, the journal only publishes open content and legacy subscription content has been made freely accessible alongside the open access articles published in journal of communications and networks prior to May 31, 2019.

User Right

Journal of Communications and articles are published open access under
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) which permits unrestricted non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Authors are responsible for determining their funding agencies’ requirements before your submission. Some funding agencies require their research authors to use specific publication licenses in place of copyright transfer if their grants are used to pay article processing charges (APCs).

Author Right

For open access publishing, this journal uses an exclusive licensing agreement. Authors will transfer copyright to The Korean Institute of Communications Information Sciences, but will have the right to share their article in the same way permitted to third parties under the relevant user license, as well as certain scholarly usage rights.

Article Processing Charges

To allow immediate global open access to all articles, JCN levies an article processing charge (APC). To publish in JCN, authors are required to pay an article processing charge (APC).
The author will be requested to pay a mandatory page charge of $90 per printed page to cover part of the cost of publication. For papers in excess of six printed pages, a mandatory page charge of $150 per printed page will be requested for the printed pages beyond six pages after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. Detailed instructions will accompany the payment request.
